Academic stress has become a part of teenage students. Vipassana meditation is an alternate therapy to minimize the level of academic stress. The research design chosen for the study was pre-experimental one group pretest post-test design was employed for this study. Purposive sampling technique was adopted to collect a sample of 30 teenage students who met the inclusion criteria were recruited for the study. Pretest on the academic stress level was measured through academic stress scale followed by Vipassana Meditation which was administered by the researcher for 7 days. The post-test was administered on 7th day through the same academic stress scale at intervention time. Ethical consideration of this study was maintained. Data was analysed using descriptive statistics. The pretest mean 125.5 in experimental group level of academic stress with a standard deviation of 12.33. The post-test mean 103.23 with a standard deviation of 15.80 and that paired't' test value calculated is t = 5.38 was found to be significant at p > 0.05 level. It found that the Vipassana Meditation proved to be effective in decreasing the degree of academic stress among secondary students.
